It seems to be caused by the fact that the single cam lock doesn't keep the assembly together properly at high pressure, without much load on the loader there is seldom a leak.

WebSep 30, 2011 · I would just make sure that the viscosity of whatever you source is comparable. The Mobil is sped' at 55 cSt @ 40°C, which is roughly equivalent to a 5W-30. I am not familiar with the Gradall drivetrain, but if this oil lubricates any clutches and/or brakes resist the urge to substitute a different kind of oil.

Split out of the fitting because it had the wrong fitting for the hose. Could have possibly gotten a small piece of hose into this valve, not sure what that valve is called.

WebJul 1, 2014 · Not a big deal to fix. Drain the oil out of the rear end, remove the step plates and all brake and clutch linkage. Then you can remove the shaft to renew the bushings and or seals. I haven't had the tractor very long and admittedly I never topped it off when I bought it. I brush hogged a couple hours and parked the tractor and the next day noticed a puddle under it.

Also while you have it tore down that far, you might want to think about replacing the clutch.

WebMar 19, 2017 · If you have a leak from inside the clutch housing it is probably the front drive shaft seals that are located inside the clutch housing.
